About Mike Shine

I’m a Technical Communicator and Educator who creates actionable content for the target audience. For more than 6 years, I have played a key role in the education and business sectors by offering value-based solutions. As an Educator, it was easy for me to transition to Technical Writing as a profession. Creating clear and concise documentation that educates technology users is something I’m passionate about. I love to equip people, and as a lifelong learner and teacher, I grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable to end-users.

As a Technical Writer, I know it’s all about my readers – who they are, what they’re trying to do, and what they need to know to succeed. I’ve armed myself with the right training to understand the technology I’m writing about to sufficiently explain this to my users. In clear and concise language, I make sure that my writings respond to specific needs, allowing professionals to fully perform their work.

I have collaborated with development teams, software development engineers, product managers, and program managers in the following:

• Hack Reactor - Software Engineering Immersive (2020-2021) - Attended a rigorous software engineering Bootcamp focused on web development.

• Write the Docs (APR 2021) - Actively participated as an attendee in the online Portland-based conference focused on software documentation.

• Google Season of Docs (2021) – Together with other technical writers, worked and contributed documentation efforts to open source software development projects.

My Expertise: HTML/CSS, JSON/XML (for APIs), JavaScript, Node.js, Express, React, MySQL, Git, Markdown

If I can support your team in any way – let’s connect!
